Working through a process-led practice, I document my artistic journey throughout the years, showcasing the evolution of my art work and ideas.
I’m drawn to the way we experience colour, not just how we see it, but how our brains interpret and blend it. My work plays with that space between perception and reality, using materials like transparent screen printed acetate (and a new exploration into bio-plastics) to create overlapping layers that shift and change depending on the light and the viewer’s position. Rather than mixing colours physically, I explore how they interact optically. Many of my pieces sit on hand crafted light boxes, encouraging a slower, more sensory kind of looking.
Works from my solo exhibition Chromatic Overload, exploring colour perception, in a range of meterials and forms.
